By James D. Casey IV

Illumination of
Soft blue light
The runes all point northwest
Mount the mustangs
Head for the hills
Nothing worth saving here
Follow the dragonflies
Floating along the narrow path
Guiding the journey
Deep into the mountain forest
Mutiny on life itself
Taking over the reins
I will guide us well
Leave this place behind
Resist the urge to look back
With fresh eyes that will never
Be the same
We can make new gods
Our own creations
Hands in the soil
Growing deep roots
Ghosts of yesteryear eventually fade
Leaving nary a trace
Fabricate new traditions
Start our own religions
Hold on to this new culture
Turn it into history
A rouge tribe
New bohemians
A rhapsody of the spirit
Living on our own terms
Sift through the ashes
To find the phoenix within
And fly our own brand of flag
