The Untranslatable

This is a series of poems of words that do not directly translate into English. I have tried to capture the essence of the word in a poem.

A paper menagerie bound in colors

Without a definite name in crayon

Sits idly with many universes

Numerous as neurons

Unknown and unkempt

To the careful hands stacking them

Spine out to the passing eye

Looking for something beyond its Milky Way

That can only find diffusions if its own

Too much like its very own

So it passes over them to find some glimmer

In a paperback

In a store

Elsewhere.
