By Nardine Sanderson

When the silence calls
in the form of tears
And the look that you now call the years
Is worn upon that timely face, hidden smiles
for life’s embrace
Shall the tears be joy or sorrow, when you meet the Lord to borrow
A lasting breath but one
Last kiss,
In all the days, tomorrow miss
Having surrendered to the garden view, rose petals and scented hue
A journey only you can make, a touch
of heaven
Where angels wake
And sleep there forevermore
