40’s roll around

 

hopefully you are married

have a good job and are

comfortable

 

for when you aren’t

 

the body starts to give

up and death is a constant

terror knocking at your

door or the one person

that never stops calling

 

life may begin at 40

when luck happened

to fall in your favor

along the way

 

for the rest of us, 40

is the reminder that

cheating death is not

as fun as they make

it look in the movies
